Curiosity about SCIENCE

I figured that it would be boring if I started talking about scientific laws and theories right from the start. Before that, I’d rather try to get everyone interested in science.

Now I’m not telling everyone to become a scientist and come up with laws but what I’m trying to say is that to develop the curiosity to understand things better. To seek the unknown is fine, but to understand that which you already know is important too. For instance, everyone is familiar with the nursery rhyme “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” but have any of you ever “Wondered” as to why stars appear to be twinkling in the sky? Or why the stars, planets, moons, are all spherical in shape?? That curiosity to know things, to know something better is what drives scientists. But why study something like the stars that are out of our reach?

We, humans, have a tendency to feel superior and different from others. But scientifically speaking we are not so different. Consider these simple facts – we all know that we have 70% water content in our bodies. And water is made out of Hydrogen and Oxygen. Also, we know that stars are made out of Hydrogen.

So the fact is we are not so different. In fact quite the opposite. On a lighter note, it could be said that we are made out of nothing but stardust. Pretty sure not many people had thought about it. So you see there is a certain pleasure in understanding that which is known in a better way.
I would like to end this blog with a quote from Richard Feynman, where he said, “..but you got to stop, and think, about the inconceivable nature, of nature.”
